Psyched!

The highlight of my March is when a group of Film students asked me to work with them. I read the script and thought it was awesome. And since they were from my alma mater, the University of the Philippines--Diliman, right away, I said "yes". Not long before, my mom was also called to act in a film thesis by another group.

The film thesis I participated in, Kabilang Dulo, was a psychological thriller, beautifully written and directed by Benjo Ferrer. Mom's was about how hard life is and how we should never lose hope no matter how seemingly hopeless our circumstances are. Katapusang Labok was written and directed by my former classmate, Aiess Alonso.

I have always known that film, television and theater have different disciplines. It was only when I worked in this film that I realized that mainstream films and short films have different disciplines, too. And I have to say, it is very refreshing to work with such young geniuses. I am so glad to experience what I have experienced in all four areas of this field.

My sister A and I attended the thesis defense. Excited to watch two films: mine and mom's, of course. The judges, panelists, students and guests gave very good reviews and feed backs to both movies.

Happy. :)

Photographing The Photographer

Her name is Aileen, also known as the big sister. My big sister.

Growing up, I looked up to her for almost about everything. And one of those is her fashion sense. Though she never really considers herself fashionable (she prefers comfort over style), I have always thought that her sense of style is classy, age-appropriate, and neat. I remember her telling me to always be careful with what to wear. "We have to be cautious as to the length of our dress and how low our necklines should go. Sexy, not slutty."

She's my favorite blogger, photographer and friend.

As a blogger, she is always mindful with what she writes about, how she writes it, and why she writes about it in the first place. As a photographer, she has a very keen eye on capturing the right angles, and the subject's true essence. As a sister and a friend, well, that's another story for me to share next time. Otherwise, it's going to take me at least two full pages of this blog to write about her. Haha!

Taken last week at UP Diliman. I love how her bright, playful top goes perfectly
with those dark denim jeans and unique accessories.

All Good Things

This is an easy-read, anything goes, all positive features about people, food, places, and adventures.

Today, I go back to one of the most precious things ever invented, thought of or whatever us dear mortals call it--writing.

Last year, I have thought of trying to put up a blog and write my thoughts down for so many times. I guess I thought I was too busy to start. Then again, as Star Wars' Yoda puts it, "Do or do not. There is no try." For now, I am simply thankful to have made the decision to write and share my thoughts even after a long day.

So here I am, writing. Writing nothing but all good things.

Taken at Evangelista last week. This was the day I decided to start blogging.
